Olivia was photographed for an article about her gymnastics teacher, Miss Teresa. Isn't she sweet in her little unitard? Whip out your microscope and you can see Macey goofing off in the mirror in the background.
Next, yesterday was Macey's first grade program. There was singing. There was dancing. There were memorized parts. But mostly, we spent the whole time trying to see around this sweet old gal's cabeza:
Afterward we posed for pictures. The following is an example of how a normal parent poses with their daughter:And an abnormal parent? Coming right up:
Forgiving is love's toughest work, and love's biggest risk. If you twist it into something it was never meant to be, it can make you a doormat or an insufferable manipulator. Forgiving seems almost unnatural. Our sense of fairness tells us people should pay for the wrong they do. But forgiving is love's power to break nature's rule.

that. is. hilarious.
it's like looking into my childhood, right there.
and what an AMAZING quote. i'm stealing it. right. now.
and i hope it's helped your apparently really special week.
You know, that quote would have fit perfectly at mass this week. The Pastor talked about love and how it's easy and normal to "love our brother" because even "gentiles" do that, but it is HARD to love our enemies and those that hurt us. And that is what sets us apart. Our ability to push beyond the hard things with God's help.
I wish our lives weren't so crazy all the time, I think you and I need more park time!
Sending lots of love your way, and expect me to show up on your doorstep soon with cookies (not homemade... i suck at that, but it's still sugar, so get over it!)
:*
Oh DJ, what an abnormal, GREAT Dad you are! Did Macey even notice what he was doing? Or was the picture taken just before the freak out. Because that is what would have happen with Sam, or me, or really any one. Wet willies are the creepiest!
Love the quote and I am stealing it too!
Thank you Elise for brightening my day...
